My take on the Kemoh Sesay issue

Since the cocaine issue came up leading to the suspension from duty of the Minister of Transport and Aviation, Hon. Kemoh Sesay, we are still wondering that up till this date, the Police has not yet come up with anything concrete that would indict him of any wrong doing.

Kemoh was suspended by President Dr. Ernest Bai Koroma to allow the police unhindered access in their investigations after his junior brother had been arrested for being allegedly involved in the said cocaine deal. The Minister bowed out honourably afterwards.

But after eight adjournments, not a single witness has come out to implicate him in the matter, which is enough grounds for the government of President Koroma to reinstate him. Indeed, he has been a performing minister and even the President acknowledged that during a ceremony at the Miatta Conference Centre marking his government’s one year in office.

I am not making a personal appeal to President Koroma, I just think the poor man was being unjustly victimised for a crime he remains innocent of.

Once again, if the police has anything against the former minister, let them arrest and charge him to court, but if on the other hand there is nothing against him, then its high time he gets back his job.

With that, I rest my case.
