Yesterday, we joined Street Haven At the Crossroads and Ontario Coalition of women’s shelter and supportive housing at Queen’s Park for National Housing Day press conference, where I reiterated the fact that; “We don’t have an affordable housing crisis; a migrant or immigrant crisis; or an asylum seeker crisis. What we have is a bureaucracy crisis!”
We also got a chance to sit in the Members Gallery, listening in for the Question Period at the Legislative Assembly in Toronto, my first time and it was such an honour to participate and quite interesting to say the least.
Then followed a reception with great remarks from the Coalition lead by Siu Mee Cheng, PhD, Dr. Chris Glover Nation Cheong, United Way Greater Toronto — Marit Stiles, Mike Schreiner
It was great connecting many great advocates across Ontario. Rwandan Canadian Healing Centre - RCHC looks forward to collaboration in building more affordable housing!
