The Assistant Inspector General of Police in charge of operations Mr. Francis Munu says three people have been arrested in connection with the murder of business man Lamrana Bah on Februay 16 at Calabatown, east of Freetown.

"They are not suspects but we have detained them to help in the investigation" he says, adding that the three are notorious criminals who have committed similar acts in the past.

The Fullah community offered fifty million Leones to anyone who would offer information leading to the arrest of the murderer or murderers.

Lamrana Bah was the ninth Fullah killed over a period of five years.

The persistent killings of Fullahs, who are mostly businessmen, sent shock waves within the Lebanese community, who are also in the business sector. Their fear was that the killings could spread to other people engaged in business.

Mr. Munu says investigations into the killings continue.
