November 25th - 26th — At the Rwandan Youth Convention 2023, I got a chance to talk about the kind of mindset needed in future leaders of Rwanda & Africa. I talked about the fact that we must be willing to invest time to build such a mindset, however, I didn’t get a chance to elaborate on how:

In 2019, I created a program called “The AlkebuLan (Land of the Blacks) Project” (See it in my Bio or visit: http://alkebulanproject.ca), which is a personal & community — leadership development initiative that we launched as Rwandan Canadian Healing Centre - RCHC ’s inaugural project, in 2020 with the support of the Government of Canada. The program was intended to provide development opportunities, including training of aspiring leaders & entrepreneurs — helping them to shift their mindset by;

— Understanding their identity spiritually, historically and personally, their journey & path forward and their destiny; hence having a purpose in the world

Today — with Alkebulan Project (revised) — to have such shifts in mindsets, we believe Future AfriCanadian Leaders must retreat completely from the world for at least 6months to a year — in what is known as “hashtag#MonkMode”; allowing them to fully experience a holistic transformation, and an awakening to (whom) their true-self really is, their calling in life, and perhaps more importantly — crafting a vision & a path forward (knowing what, where, when and how) to serve their purpose in this particular lifetime.

We are currently looking for partnerships to continue this program, especially at a time when there continues to be scarce mindset for such leadership in the world. We must all play a role in helping to shape future leaders, because; “It takes a Village to raise a child”.
