Our Freetown female heavyweight correspondent, Isatu Gbla(photo) celebrated her birthday on Friday May 23. Since coming onboard the PV train Isatu has demonstrated sterling qualities of dedication and reliability that have garnered much respect and admiration for her from friends and colleagues in and out of Sierra Leone. We wish her many more birthdays.

Also, former PV Netherlands correspondent Teddy Foday Musa(now working for the IOM in Freetown) celebrated his birthday in April. But Teddy suffered a severe setback earlier this month when he lost his younger sister in Freetown. She was 32.

Teddy, who also lost his mother in June last year, was one of the few African journalists at the Hague when the Taylor trial began. We wish Teddy all the best and offer him our heartfelt condolences for the death of his sister Umu Foday-Musa.

Teddy can be reached in Freetown at +23276319480 or +23277303361.
