Youth for Sierra LeoneImprovement Fundraising Banquet

After the decade long civil war for the entirety of the 1990s, Sierra Leoneis now beginning a new peaceful dispensation, while it advances towards national development in its drive to keep up with the developed economies of the world. Ranked as one of the poorest countries in the world, according to the 2004 U.N.D.P. report in terms of human development, we see that its emancipation from this present position requires the combined effort from everyone. In a country where the gap between the haves and have-nots is widening, Youth for Sierra Leone Improvement (Y.S.L.I.) lends a hand where we can work with the less privileged. Our organization strives to build up the country and bridge a gap between the privileged and the less privileged.
Youth for Sierra Leoneimprovement (Y.S.L.I.) is a non-profit organization founded by educated young people, who are determined to improve the lives of the future generations of Sierra Leone. Y.S.L.I. is a U.S.A-Sierra Leone youth-based organization dedicated to its mission of establishing a platform for Sierra Leoneans at home and in the Diaspora; our belief in dialogue, development, education, and awareness, is exercised through unity, nationalism and democracy
Youth for Sierra Leone Improvement provides free education for underprivileged orphans and literacy programs for adult women. Y.S.L.I. also works to provide health care and counseling for HIV/AIDS individuals and extensive training to our associates and volunteers. Our organization works collectively with others in order to create a positive, challenging environment for our students to actualize their fullest potential. Y.S.L.I. members have the integrity, enthusiasm, praise, leadership, and honesty, which make our organization a valuable entity for the future generations of Sierra Leone.
