June 7th, 1937 -August 14th, 2006
Rev. Clarence E A Labor entered this life on June 7, 1937 to Brian Labor and
Yamakoro Mansaray
On the morning of August 14, 2006, God in his infinite wisdom called his
child, and welcomed Clarence Labor into his heavenly home.
Clarence attended elementary School at the Hope Day School and for his
secondary school education he attended the CMS Grammar School in Sierra
Leone. He attended the London University (Journalism). After his return to
Freetown, he was employed at the Sierra Leone Daily Mail as the Editor in
Chief. As an educator in the United States , he taught Journalism at Temple
University in Philadelphia, PA.
Clarence’s was called to the Ministry in 1986. Rev. Labor as he was
affectionately called, entered the United Methodist Conference after
completing his studies at the Lutheran Seminary. He served as the Associate
Pastor of Tindley Temple in Philadelphia. He also served in the position of
Pastor at several Churches including Mt. Carmel, Advocate St. Stephen’s,
Peniel and New Life in Upper Darby.
Services were held on Wednesday August 23, 2006 in Freetown Sierra Leone.

The family acknowledges with deep appreciation all of the prayers, telephone
calls, visits, floral tributes, cards and other generous expressions shown
to us during the passing of our beloved Husband, Father and friend. We have
been richly blessed and we will always have warm and lasting memories.

tender, loving care.
