By Dr. Alhaji Njai, Freetown, Sierra Leone
I am honored to be appointed as the Managing Editor of the Sierra Leone Journal of Biomedical Research (SLJBR).
I am excited about the opportunity to strengthen Sierra Leone’s health system through promotion of basic and operational research. Along these lines, Feb 9-11, 2022, we will hold the first national Scientific writing workshop for researchers drawn from all Universities, Ministry of Health and Sanitation (MOHS), and Partners at Bo.
This is a partnership I have helped forge with MOHS, US Center for Disease Control and Prevention (US CDC), and African Field Epidemiologist Network (AFENET) to link research from academia to government and partners.
Ubuntu collectively we shall rise, excel technically, build leadership, and improve quality of health of our people.
