Sierra Leone’s Transport minister Prince Harding, the Director of Civil Aviation and
his deputy have been suspended from duty by president Kabbah pending investigations into last Sunday’s helicopter crash incident.

President Kabbah took the decision few hours after
returning home from Libya. His arrival back home
coincided with the arrival also here of the Togolese
government delegation which accompanied the rest of
their delegation back home.

Kabbah seized the opportunity to inspect the crash
site with Prince Harding, who was at the airport then,
accompanying him. He also held discussions with the
Togolese.

Prince Harding(photo) this morning said in an interview on UN radio that he welcomed the President’s decision as in
his words, it will make it possible for the truth
to come out. He thanked the President for taking that
bold decision.
