Greetings!
Thank you so much for coming to Philadelphia on Saturday, February 24, 2007 and for contributing to the success of the Young Generation Fundraiser. The organizers of the event and the SLPP Delaware Valley Chapter are enthusiastically pleased with your support and contributions. Personally, I feel honored by your participation and its ensuing success of our event.
We deeply appreciate the presence of the SLPP North America Region especially, the Chairman - Mathew Margao, the Vice Chairman Sallu "Spaco" Saidu, Assistant Secretary-General, Victor Alimamy and Women’s Leader, Florence Jenkins. These dedicated party stalwarts represented our Party very well. Many thanks also go to the Chapter Chairmen, Jerry George of New Jersey, Dausy Wurie of Washington, D.C and Vice Chairman, Mohamed Bangura of New York. Success was possible because of our organizational heads. We thank them all.
MCs Make a Difference
I would also like to thank our MCs, Mariatu Bah(photo) and Abu-Hassan Koroma (Askia), along with the DJ that provided the music for the occasion. Without their contributions, nothing could have been the way it did. Everyone deserves our appreciation and we cannot thank all of you enough for making our day. Thank you and Allah bless you.
Natl. Sec. Gen, J.J. Saffa Lends Support!
Ladies and gentlemen, now that the event is over and the clock is ticking closer to electing a new President for Sierra Leone, we continue to appeal for your support to encourage the full and effective participation of young people in the affairs of the SLPP and Sierra Leone. Your support of the Young Generation is vital for the support of your party and your Country, the SLPP and Sierra Leone.
Special Kudos to Nenebah Jallloh
Nenebah Jalloh listened attentively as speaker after speaker extolled the impressive work by young generation leader, Abu Bakarr Saccoh. Nenebah played a pivotal role in making the Young Generation event a success. Her networking, amiable personality and no-nonsense focus on making the SLPP the dominant Sierra Leonean party in North America is paying off.
As a member of the Fullah Progressive Union, with the indomitable support of its Chairman, prominent business tycoon, Abu Bakarr Barrie, a North America Fullah Caucus for the SLPP now exists under the Chairmanship of ABJ with Nenebah as Vice Chair.
Nenebah is also the Vice Chair of the SLPP Washington, D.C. Metro Chapter and an active women’s representative in the North America SLPP women’s leadership. Nenebah deserves a special thank you from all of us in the Young Generation Movement and the SLPP party generally.
Dancing the Night Away
The Fullah Progressive Union President, Abu Bakarr Barrie with FPU Women’s leader New York and, also SLPP New York Assistant Organizing Secretary, Basiratu Bah, took to the floor in the excitement of the Young Generation success in Philadelphia where she was one of ten representatives from New York.
Basiratu Bah has the task of mobilizing women, especially Fullah women, for participation in the SLPP New York chapter. Basiratu hails from Koidu, Kono District.
Sincerely,
Abu Bakarr Saccoh
