Sierra Leone’s President Ernest Koroma (photo) is going to have a very heavy schedule when he visits the United States of America for the UN General Assembly this month.
On his agenda is a very important event at the Smithsonian Institution’s National Museum of Art in Washington, DC, where he was invited to attend a dinner in his honour. The dinner will take place September 17, 2013.
According to Johnetta Cole of the Smithsonian Institution, they had invited President Koroma honour him and his accomplishments as the President of Sierra Leone with a dinner in his honour.
Located steps from the United States seat of government, the Smithsonian Institution is the world’s largest museum and research complex, with 19 museums and galleries andthe National Zoological Park.
In 2012 alone, there were more than 30 million visitors to the museums and National Zoo.The National Museum of African Art is the only national museum that celebrates the diverse and dynamic arts of the continent of Africa and its Diaspora.
President Koroma is also scheduled to meet with many Sierra Leoneans, friends of Sierra Leone and potential investors in addition to his UN engagements.
