Rhyme of the Time

By Abayomi Charles Roberts (Punchy), Edmonton, Canada

Pot slows the melt after Twin Tower crumble,
Perceptions, suspicions, more on the double,
Tempers flying, Babies dying,
Now there’s fresh stuff to grumble.

What’s this pervasive mania? Sins on rebound?
Answers, questions, more confound.
Bombs blowing, Troops torching,
Now there’s trust but not an ounce.

Music may blare from Bush and Blair,
Tunes of ambition. So, people don’t care.
Three-Eleven, London and Bali,
All the world is full of worry.
