Gbakima Launches Appeal

Dear Colleagues:

I am happy to inform you all that Fourah Bay College
(FBC) of the University of Sierra Leone, the once
"Athens of West Africa" will be 180 yeras old on
February 18 2007. The celebrations are already ongoing
to meet the February 18 2007 date.

On behalf of the University of Sierra Leone, Fourah
Bay College and all Alumni of FBC, we are inviting all
friends of Fourah Bay College and other interested
parties to fully participate in this important
celebration through your personal involvement,
donations and support in any form. We need your
suggestions on how to achieve maximum fund raising and
programing to achieve the best celebration for our
national institution.

I met with the executive of the FBC Alumni Association
in the DC area yesterday and they are fully onboard
with enthusiasm as usual. I am asking all Alumni and
friends of Fouarh Bay College in the diaspora and at
home to get involved in the planning of this event.
Please get in touch with the President Dr. Sheikh
Kamara at his email (Shekgk@aol.com). He will be
willing to work with all interested. Every FBC Alumni,
friends of FBC and all interested parties are very
important in the planning and all your suggestions and
contributions will be acknowledged and accounted for
properly and in time.
