Mr. Iyabu Karanah Conteh (son of the late Karanah Conteh, aka Kamara Washington) owner of Washington Rovers presented the following donations to the Jamieu Salaam Mosque on behalf of the Foulah Town Association (USA), a non-profi entity registered in the United States of America.
The sum of 1.5 million leones will cover the total remaining cost and a portion of the labour cost for the completion of the well project initiatedby the Foulah Town Jamaat ( see Mr. Iyabu Conteh and Foulah Town jamaat in top photo).
A remaining balance of 600,000.00 leones for labour will be allocated to the Jamaat by the association when the work has been completed. Ceiling fans and four new wall fans will replace the ones that were no longer in operation.
All fans within this historic mosque are now in good working order thus minimizing heat exhaustion by the generous donations of the following:

The Foulah Town Association U.S.A. extends its sincere thanks and appreciation to Imam Abdul Rahman Hamid; the Jamieu Salaam Jamaat and the Foulah Town Community for their perseverance and love in the daily maintenance and upkeep of such a historic monument.
Finally, with the utmost respect and humility the Foulah Town Association U.S.A. appeal to the elite in the Foulah Town Community to enhance collaboration with the Jamaat so that checks and balances are put in place to ensure that the water from the well is always free of harmful contaminants.
