ECOWAS delegation in Guinea

An official delegation of the ECOWAS parliament has been in Guinea for the past three days a press release from the office of the Prime Minister in Conakry has revealed.

Led by Honourable Sidie Mohamed Tunis, President of the ECOWAS parliament, the delegation paid a courtesy call on Prime Minister Bernard Goumou on Tuesday.

Accompanied by senators and MPs from Liberia, Sierra Leone, Nigeria and Cote d’Ivoire, Hon. Sidie Tunis reassured Guinea of ECOWAS’ support during the transition.

"ECOWAS is a privileged partner of Guinea. We will support the ongoing process to ensure that everything is in place within 24 months, in accordance with the joint agreement," he said.
