APC-Alberta Inaugural Dinner and dance

The Alberta, Canada, branch of the ruling All People’s Congress (APC) last Saturday had an inaugural dinner and dance at the Kilkenny Community League Hall in Edmonton.

The Masters of Ceremony were Augustine Marah and Aminata Kargbo.

The Interim President of the interim executive is Dr. Gibril Sillah-Kargbo.
A number of awards were presented and the award presenters were Adama Stevens and Peter Koroma.

A message from the Sierra Leone Ambassador to the US and Canada, Ambassador Bockarie Kortu Stevens, was read by Peter Koroma. The theme of the message was Attitudinal Reform.

Messages also came from the APC Ontario Chapter read by Sheriff Sesay
and from the Manitoba Chapter. The vote of thanks was delivered by Abdul Karim Kamara.

There are at the moment about 27 registered APC members in Edmonton, Alberta and other Sierra Leoneans are expected to register soon. The ceremony was well-attended, prayers were offered, free food was served and drinks were available at moderate prices The entrance fee was $20 per person. It was quite an enjoyable event.
