The Sierra Leone community in the Dallas Fort Worth metroplex in Texas regrets to announce the sudden death of Unisa Bangura on Friday, October 8th 2010, at his residence in Hurst. He was 25 years old.

Unisa Bangura (photo), first child of Abdul-Rahman and Doris Bangura was born in Freetown, Sierra Leone on September 10th, 1985. His infant years were spent there. At the age of 8, he migrated to the United States with his mother and sibling, Ahmed, to join his father. He attended Donna Park Elementary, Bedford Junior High school and graduated from L.D. Bell High school where he played football for the Blue Raiders.

Unisa was a beautiful and calm child, full of joy, and as his mom puts it, he was very helpful and supportive. He was a lover of music, cars, big ideas but above all, the Lord. He passionately loved whatever he did and always throbbing with energy. He was warm and friendly with everyone. He loved his aunties, uncles, nieces, nephews and everyone in his family.

He was snatched away from us but we will still praise the Lord for his goodness and mercy. He will never be forgotten and he will live in our hearts forever.
Rest in Peace Unisa.
