Sierra Leone’s Ambassador to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and Permanent Representative to the fifty-seven member states Organisation of Islamic Cooperation ( OIC ) received a warm welcome at the General Secretariat of the OIC in Saudi Arabia’s second capital of Jeddah Thursday.

Alhaji M.S Kargbo accompanied by his new Minister Counsellor and Head of Chancery, Sulaymanah Kpukumu (left in photo with Ambassador Kargbo) and Press Attaché Alhaji Jalloh flew Sierra Leone’s flag very high during yesterday’s official and fruitful visit.

According to the public affairs unit of the Sierra Leone embassy in Saudi Arabia, Kpukumu, a seasoned diplomat was posted to Riyadh in December last year after stints in various diplomatic missions notably the New York mission where he was counsellor.

He was also head of protocol or State Chief of Protocol (SCOP) at State House in Freetown. He is bilingual (English and French) and has studied diplomacy at Oxford university in the UK.

Sulaymanah, a humble, respectful and very friendly personality, taught French at Services Secondary school in Freetown after college before entering the foreign service more than a decade ago.
