Let’s get Real

I am not an apologist. I do not just agree with skeptics or doomsday soothsayers who are of the opinion that Sierra Leone is done for. I do believe, not dreaming, that there will be light at the end of the tunnel. However, we should stop deluding ourselves that there is going to be a quick fix to decades of maladministration by successive governments.

One more thing, politics is not just about unnecessary talking and shouting. In fact it is not about who shouts the loudest. It is about policies and effective implementation of those policies and of course accountability. So, next time any make-believe politician talks to you, do Sierra Leone a favour by asking the individual irrespective of political hue to put her/his policies/ideas on the table. If she/he fails, put her/him in the category of rabble-rousers.

Remember, I am what I am, you are what you are, they are what they are and we are what we are. Each other’s views should be respected but no view is sacrosanct.
May Allah Guide Sierra Leone towards the Right Path.
